Out to Innovate is formerly (and legally) known as National Organization of Gay and Lesbian Scientists and Technical Professionals Inc. (NOGLSTP). NOGLSTP is doing business as Out to Innovate to assure a more inclusive membership environment for ALL LGBTQ+ people in STEM.

Out to Innovate is a professional society for LGBTQ+ people in STEM, and their allies. Your membership dues support our outreach and networking activities. Dues are only:

$40/year for career professionals
$10/year for students, unemployed and low-income retirees
$20/year for post-doctoral fellows
$1200 Lifetime Membership. Pay once, and receive uninterrupted membership benefits for life (for the next 70 years). (Non-transferrable).

How to renew your membership, mantain your member profile, or access member benefits if your membership has not lapsed:

You will be able to renew your membership by clicking on the renew/pay button in the email reminding you to pay your dues. No login needed.
To access members-only benefits, or to be able to renew your membership from inside your member account, you will log in to the member portal. The link to the member portal should be in your dues acknowledgement email. Creation of your member portal account is not automatic. You need to request one. Only dues-paying members may have a member portal account. (9/30/2026 note: this feature is not yet functional, as we have not completed the transition to our new membership system. Almost ready!)
What you will be able to do inside the member portal:
Access the Members-only directory. Search on a STEM category to find people in your field to network with.
Access your membership card.
Pay upcoming membership dues.
Update your personal profile.
Update your credit card if you have one stored for recurring payments.

How to renew your membership if it has lapsed:

If you were an Out to Innovate member in good standing from 01/01/2025 and forward, your profile exists in this system. Simply follow this link to the membership form, and sign up using the email address you were using when you last renewed. No log in is necessary to renew. The system will recognize you from your name and email, and will update your records upon dues payment. If you no longer have that email address, contact the membership manager for a manual intervention.
If you were an Out to Innovate member prior to 12/31/2024 or a NOGLSTP member prior to 2019, but allowed your membership to lapse, your profile no longer exits in this system. Please join as a new member.

System Defaults for our new membership management system

Members-only Directory: The system default is to include you in the members-only directory. If you want to be excluded from the directory, you need to select "exclude me from the online directory" in the billing information section of the sign-up dialog. If you change your mind about this, contact the membership manager for help.
Auto-Renew: The system default is to not auto-renew. If you want to use the auto-renew feature, your need to select "I would like my membership to auto-renew" in the billing information section of the sign-up dialog. If you change your mind about this, contact the membership manager for help.
